Visualisation

Your Highest Good made Real

Visualisation and Manifestation – Everything is energy! You are a wondrous being, made out of energetically charged particles which combine in a unique way to make you who you are. And your thoughts are energy too, going out into the Universe carrying your hopes, fears, and dreams. The vibrational quality of your thoughts attracts similarly charged energy, and so it’s easy to see that when you project positive, high vibrational energy you will attract positive, high vibrational energy in return. That’s the good stuff that we need to nourish our life and our soul and move us onwards.

When you’re upbeat and happy you naturally send out positivity. When you’re feeling down in the dumps, you might find it harder to raise those vibrations and feel good.

So, what can you do to find equilibrium and get more of the good stuff into your life?

The power of your thoughts is infinite, and you really can learn to visualise and manifest your needs using the energetic potential within. A word of warning here, which you might have heard before. Be careful what you wish for! When we are projecting our thoughts to realise something that we need or want for ourselves, it’s vitally important to insert a caveat here. “For the highest good of all!”

Recognising that any outcome you seek is coloured by your own perspective will safeguard you from losing sight of the bigger picture, or becoming so focussed on one outcome that you don’t see anything outside of your ego’s desires. I’m sure that we have all looked back at a situation with gratitude that we did NOT get what we had asked for, as in hindsight we can see that things worked out for the best after all.

It’s also really important never to ask for an outcome for another person unless they have given permission, and even then, only ever with the intention that all assistance is for their very highest good, even if that seems at odds with what you, and they, are hoping for. There’s a need to avoid ego at every stage of this work and we should remain humble, accepting that what is offered will be whatever is needed for our progression.

There is a difference between visualisation and manifestation

Using the power of your imagination to see something in all its detail, to fully sense how it feels, and to picture yourself enjoying the outcome that you desire is a form of visualisation. For instance, you may visualise a positive outcome to a job interview, looking upon this as a kind of mental rehearsal to build confidence for the real event. Visualising success- really feeling that success with all of your senses, can let you build your self-confidence and may enable you to perform better in that interview, as you’re less likely to feel stressed or nervous.

You might find it easiest to focus in a meditative state of mind, where everyday thoughts are put aside for a few moments, allowing you to give all your concentration to the visualisation process. Allow yourself to relax by breathing, to calm and focus your energy. For support with this, you can read the article on Breathwork – now up on the blog. Then, using the power of your imagination, “walk” yourself into that situation and engage your senses one by one. Feel the temperature in the room, the sensation of shaking hands and hear the words of greeting exchanged between you and the interviewer. Let a feeling of calm confidence fill you as you go through the interview, smiling and happily presenting yourself at your best. See the smiles returned by the other people in the room and feel the sensation of success as you are offered the job for which you have longed. Your mental picture is set, and you will be able to engage with each part of that as you move through the process in real time.

Using Visualisation in times of Stress

You can also use visualisation to calm yourself in moments of stress. Create a mental image of your “happy place” (this place can be real or imaginary) where you feel calm and at ease. A beautiful beach, a forest path, a place in your memory from happy times. The choice is yours but make it real to you. Stepping into that picture when you feel the need to experience those positive emotions brings you a way to control and banish stress. Take some deep breaths and allow the tensions to melt away, before you return to your day.

One step on from visualisation, manifesting involves focussing all your thoughts and energies consistently.

The law of attraction states very simply that what you give attention to is what you will attract.

Focussing wholeheartedly on your aspirations will tend to bring what you need, allowing you to be in the right place at the right time to take advantage of opportunities leading you towards your desired results.

Visualisation provides the mindset, practising gratitude each day maintains high energy and positivity, and taking consistent action in the real world manifests your outcome in the highest possible energy.

Use ‘Intentions’

A simple but effective way to focus your intentions is to use a mantra; simply repeating a positive statement that backs up your intentions such as,

“I’m open to, and deserving of, experiencing happiness in new and unexpected ways.”

“I believe that the universe is bringing the right person into my life to be my partner.”

“I am grateful for the abundance of blessings I receive.”

Creating a journal page to illustrate a favourite mantra or quotation that has inspired you can become a visual prompt. By including colour, and even pictures, to reinforce the impact of inspirational text you are adding even more power to manifest ambition.

Positivity and gratitude have the effect of keeping your personal energy in tip-top shape. Remember to smile! For all that you are, and all that you have in this moment, be grateful. You are unique, as is your path through this life. I know that you have the potential to live every moment for your highest good.
